BD CELBRATIONS & CUTTING CEREMONY...... so many things to blog, so little time to type......
Yvonne & Leslie 's BD Celebration

There are so many birthdays to celebrate this week...... including my dad's! But he has to visit my very sick & old Grand Uncle in Ipoh so his party is postponed til next week.......phew...at least give me some time to digest all the food!

Kei, Ken, Jerome & Leslie were at our place on Tuesday to celebrate Yvonne's BD. We had sushi and KFC for dinner. As usual, we had to punk the BD girl. Leslie also kena as his bd was the next day. Kei had been irritating Von since Monday and even told her that he might not be attending the party. That was a just a little trick to see if she was really bothered by it (they are very close friends....she pretended to be alright but you can tell from her expression.......hee!). This boy was so patient and actually hid in the toilet while waiting for me to return from work. Poor boy had to endure the heat and smell......haha! Anyway, we blindfolded Yvonne (this blindfolding thing always work!) and Leslie. They were fed with amino and mushroom oyster sauce (Yvonne hates mushroom!).......cool! Finally, sweet Kei emerged with a BD cake with us singing a BD song! We spent the rest of the evening chatting and setting up an "altar" for Yvonne's pressies (see pics)....keke!

HAIR CUTTING CEREMONY FOR DARYL

PART 1

PART 2

TOMMY PRAYING FOR DARYL

I think you can tell what happened to him by the looking at the pics and videos! This is our usual practice (If you have notice, we have lots of "usual practices" !) for young boys going into NS - there will be a "Hair Cutting" ceremony........... it's all started with Timothy............this is our way of "blessing" them...... "heng", I am not a man! This dear boy sent us a touching sms that night.......Daryl, welcome to our family! I am going to miss you sooooooooooooo much...........see you in 2 weeks' time! Btw, Ken, you're next.........................MUAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

CELEBRATING ESTHER'S BD PLUS UPDATES

We had lunch at Causeway Point today...just the three of us........ a simple meal at the food court. Joash was attracted to the noise at Timezone so we brought him for a tour in the arcade. He had a great time "driving"...... almost driving us nuts too.....haha......Go check out his blog for more pics.

In the evening, we were back at Causeway Point to celebrate Esther's 3rd BD. We did not joined them for dinner at Swenson (cos we don't really like their food except the ice-cream!). Instead, we had pasta and baked rice at Pasta Mania...yummy! We joined Gil and the Sohs for ice-cream after that. My son was super excited when he saw the ice-cream (his fave food!). He seems to recognise Esther after seeing her twice this week. I am sure you can tell that he likes her a lot! Generous Gil gave us a treat..... thks girl!

Updates:
I was touched by an online sermon by Ps Tan this week. He was preaching about making a difference and being a star thrower. For me, it was a message that reminded me of learning to genuinely care for others with no strings attached.

Joash is better ....... hope I don't jinx it by saying this....haha! He is also becoming more fun to play with. This T2 stage is trying but sweet in some way.

I just told my boss that I am going to stop teaching in Dec. Yup, can start biz soon in Feb after Jo's BD!

Actually, there are so many things happening around me...... I think I am going to explode soon.......... wish I can tell someone............ wish I can help....... wish I can...... nevermind......sigh...........

Lastly, I wish something romantic can happen.... must be due to overdose of "Romantic Princess"!

Here's 2 pics of me at TIMEZONE:

PINKY RESTAURANTS AND YUMMY HOME-COOKED FOOD
MISS CLARITY CAFE

TONG SHUI CAFE

PINK! PINK! PINK! Pink is the theme of the 2 cafes that we dine in last week! No wonder I am in a lovey dovey mood.....hee hee. We finally had a chance to visit one of the most raved about cafe at Upper Thomson. It's none other than the pretty Miss Clarity Cafe. Gil & I had been wanting to try their food....actually we were more interested in the decor...hee! I love the bright colours....... mainly pink (my fave!)......... sorry guys, I know some of you hate pink but you can bring yr gfs here or maybe yr laptops cos they have free broadband. The whole cafe has this girly feel to it and I like it....... cos I'm pretty girlish too...... ok...I know I am 30...... but I'm a still a girl at heart...keke! The communal toilet is pink with pink door, pink toilet brush and pink toilet bowl....haha I was just kidding about the toilet bowl......... it's white....I promised you won't become gay sitting on it! The walls of the restaurants are pink, most of their tables are pink and even the cups are pink. You just have to love pink to enjoy the ambience. One good thing for girly mamas like me is that they provide high chairs..... yeah (don't worry, it not pink tho' I wish it was..... Just the normal Ikea chair!). We took lots of pics altho' it was a little "paiseh". Alright so much for the decor, let me tell you about the food. We ordered 3 main courses plus $3 top up for the soup and desserts plus a side dish to share.

1) The Barley Drink - Bland and boring for me, too sticky and thick for Gil and strange for Tommy! As you can imagine, the drink was not consistent in taste and quality so we mixed all 3 cups and tried to make it more drinkable. 2/10

2) The Carrot Soup - Hmm.....we were wondering where's the carrot!!!!! It's not orange in colour and there wasn't any taste of carrot at all........weird???? 2/10

3) The Deep Fried Chicken Baked Rice - We didn't know the chicken was deep fried cos it wasn't stated in the menu. It looked rather appetising BUT...... looks are deceiving! I think the rice had an over-dose of tomato sauce...... it was too sour for our taste buds. There were also more chicken pieces then rice....... but we felt that the chicken were too crispy. This was one dish that we had a hard time finishing.....very "je lat". 4/10 for appearance

4) Fantasy Soft Shell Crab Pasta - This pasta dish is also the same.....nice to look at but not nice to eat! Definitely not something that I would fantasize about...haha! The pasta was too soggy..... I want it al dente!!!! The cream sauce was ok but in the end, it was the soft shell crab that saved the dish. Joash seemed to like the pasta....maybe it's soft and creamy enough for him to chew. 5/10 cos Jo liked it..... eat it if you have the same taste as him.

5) Roasted Chicken Leg with Potato & Mushroom Fricasee - We agreed that this was the best dish....... cos the potato & mushroom fricasee side dish was superb! The potato was cooked just right, not too soft, not too hard and it tasted sweet. The mushroom complimented the potato very well..... but the best part was the super duper yummy sauce! The chicken on the hand was tough and tasteless. It became our side dish instead. The potato thingy was so delicious that we requested for a special order. Gil & I simply loved it! We have decided to returned just for this potato & mushroom fricasee dish.....haha and maybe also to try some of their smoothies. Chicken 4/10 Potato & Mushroom 9/10 they could be a little more generous with the mushroom.....I am so greedy la!

On Saturday, we were back at Upper Thomson Road for dinner. This time it's Tung Shui Cafe. Although we (Gil & us again!) had been to this place but I hadn't a chance to blog about it. As you can tell from the pics, it's a pink theme cafe again but with oriental decor like red lamps and mini cheong sums. They served a wide variety of food, about 300 plus type! Gil & I wasn't very hungry (My tummy had acting strangely for the past few days.....ouch!.) so we had their famous Peanut and Condensed milk with Thick Toast. As usual, it was soooooo good and satisfying...... almost like a comfort food for us. I rated it 9/10. Tommy had the signature Baked Rice with Chicken Wings. The rice was fragrant and the sauce was tasty...... very appetising altho' Tom felt that the chicken wasn't fantastic. He rated it 7/10. We also ordered ice milk tea...... I think Ah Mei's Cafe still has the best ice milk tea. I rated it 7/10. We ordered a mango pudding for Joash. The pudding tasted ok but the mango bits were super sour..... but nevertheless he ate it all up except the mango of course. We will be back (several times) if we decided to try all their dishes...haha! 5/10 Btw, they have high chairs for kids too.

We had home-cooked food today. Everyone (Ken, Daryl, Jerome, Nicky, Mich, Gil & us) was excited and looking forward to it. Gil fried some "Chai Po" egg (my fave!) and sponsored 2 salted eggs, otah and pickeled mango..... the otah was one of the fastest going dish on the table and Tommy just kept chomping on the sweet & sour mango! Even Nicky who was not keen in having porridge ate 3 bowls of it and kept saying that the meal was way better than Killiney or Quality Hotel....haha! Kenneth brought a jar of salted chye sim....... it was Mich's fave. Daryl & Jerome bought drinks. I grilled some crispy luncheon meat and blanched a plate of mushroom-sauce broccoli with fried onions. We also bought a tin of dace fish....... I love to eat it with porridge....... yum yum and of course I cooked the porridge too. At the end of the meal, I grilled some fried CP chicken for everyone to try....they loved it. Overall, we had fun chatting and feasting on this "Ai Xin" dinner. This was also a mini party for Daryl before he got enlisted on Friday. We'll give him a big one on Thursday....Muahahahaha >evil grin<. Maybe we should have more of this home-cooked dinner.....cheap and good..... oh no, I am becoming like Tommy!

After dinner, we watched David Copperfield's (DC) magic shows on DVD and played some cards game. DC never fails to amaze me........ too bad his shows are cancelled becos of some sex scandal...... ai ya....so old alr still behave like that........ honestly, he is quite a charmer........ wonder how will it is like to be his GF......... flying to avoid jams........... walking thru' the room's wall......... how about elevated sex......goodness.....sorry....I told you before.........I have an over-imaginative mind! Some said that he sold his soul to the devil.......hmmmmm........... possible?? I don't really bother...... just love all his magic and humour when he performs. Our diners left about 11 pm after watching a documentary on coffin...hee....what an interesting way to end our time together.....spooky!

I JUST HAVE TO POST THIS VIDEO!!!!!!!!!!!!
Even though I posted an entry this morning (see below), I just have to put this video up. This is how Joash's incessant crying lead to my incessant ranting ............. and finally insanity..............haha! Btw, what you see is only a minor tantrum........ wait till you have a chance to see the major one.......sigh........

WARNING: MAJOR CAM-WHORING

Yup........ as the title revealed.... it's a warning for those who hate seeing ladies acting cute on pics...........hahaha! I put up so many pics of me so that my dear friends will not forget how I look like since I have not been posting my pics on my blog......hee...... I know what you're thinking........"she's just giving an excuse for putting up so many pics, vain say vain la".........haha........ guess I over-explained! Ok, please forgive me for behaving like this...... very stressed out this week...... cos my dear boy is really wearing me out with his short naps and disturbed sleep plus lots of "manjaing" during the day............he can get up at 4 plus in the morning and return back to sleep after 2 hrs....... I can't even put him down in his playpen....... we found out that he is having a major teething pain (upper molars and lower teeth are all sprouting out at the same time!!!!!). I wish babies are born with a full set of teeth! I need a double dose of patience.....sigh.....

Well, beside the above problem, I think I am also pmsing..... that's explains why my face is looking like a battleground! And I seem to be having bad hair days all the time....... rebonding soon (8th time or is it 9th time????)....... before Christmas..... it doesn't help looking at Gil's rebonded hair (Her hair is no longer "virgin"...haha......private joke!). My ezcema is also flaring up due to hornmonal change........ I am turning into a freak.........help me!

Alright, I shall stop my incessant ranting. I suspect my pimples could also be a result of late nites...... I confess.... I am addicted to "Romantic Princess (Gong Zhu XIao Mei)" on Youtube. Have been staying up late to catch up with the show......... I love the show sooooooo much...... the guys are drool-worthy....esp Wu Chun.....OMG..... I am acting like some crazy teenager! Here's a 2:05 mins trailer. You've to wait for a while to see the whole thing but only if you're interested!

DINNER AT FORTUNE CUISINE PLUS UPDATES

On Thursday, we wanted to have steamboat At Chin Huat restaurant in Clementi but we found out it had been converted into a seafood restaurant....haha.......... We also met Alicia....really small world! She was having dinner with her family. We were a little disappointed but at the same time, we noticed that there were several other eateries so we decided to explore the place. To out greatest joy, we found a Charcoal BBQ cum Steamboat International Buffet Restaurant with a very oriental name, Fortune Cuisine. The restaurant was spacious and crowded. So we got ourselves a place outside........yup....alfresco style (you can dine indoors but no BBQing..... think they will do it for you if you asked!). I find the place very well-decorated for a HDB Restaurant and I was rather impressed with the variety of food. Most importantly, they had baby chairs....if not how to cook and eat our food! Here's the comments:

1) Soup Base - It's a 2-sided steamboat. We had the herbal and "mala" soup. The herbal soup was ok but will need to put lots of ingredients in to make it sweet. As for the "Mala" soup, I stop at 1 bowl.......... I think it tasted strange. Yvonne felt that it wasn't as spicy as it should be. Herbal after ingredients are in - 7/10. Mala - 1/10, 1 for being edible!

2) The Charcoal BBQ - This was my first time BBQing my food in a restaurant........ I only do that at chalets! It was a refreshing change from the usual hotplate grill tho' all of us smell "smoky" after dinner. 8/10 for the new experience.

3) Cooked Food & Sashimi - There were sushi, hand-rolls, buckwheat noodles, fried rice with lots of spring onions (yucks!), stir fired dishes (flower crabs & chicken) plus sashimi. Tommy loved the hand-roll so much that he ate 6 of them! I thot it was nice too but I am not going to fill myself with rice at a buffet...so I took 2 of it......... tho' I still felt like having more...yummy! The buckwheat noodles was too sweet for my liking and the rest of the cooked food were ok. We had loads of salmon sashimi too. 7/10

4) The Raw Food - I find their seafood (crayfish, prawns, crabs...... etc) fresh and sweet. Kei only wished that the prawns were bigger..... I thot the size was fine. All of us like the well-marinated chicken....... tasted so "shiok" after BBQing. The rest of the food........ all the balls .....haha.......vege & mushrooms were alright. 7/10

5) Desserts & Drinks - I did not try the cakes but Jo had them..... actually more like squashed them! They looked fine to me. I had some Cookies & Cream and Raspberry ice-cream..... a good dessert to end our "heaty" meal. I liked the wide choices of drinks. They had the usual soft drinks (rootbeer, F&N cherry.....eyc), ice lemon tea, coffee and lots of other flavoured tea. I had rootbeer to go with my food and a cup of Black-current tea to end my meal. 7/10

At the end of our dinner, I asked them to rate the food here....... Kei 8/10, Yvonne 7/10, Tommy 7/10 and I 8/10. Oh, as for the prices, Adults $22.80+++, Kids $12.80+++ and if you're a student, you only pay $16.80+++ when you dine between Mon-Thurs. Tommy felt that it was expensive (as usual!) but I felt that it was reasonaable for the kind of food they served there. We left the place smelling like charcoal but we were all satisfied with our unexpected meal in this restaurant. We will be back when we crave for steamboat again!

The Address:
Fortune Cuisine (Charcoal BBQ & Steamboat International Buffet)
Blk 106 Clementi St. 12

Joash had been very cranky and grouchy for the whole of this week. His nap time were shorter and he always woke up crying. During the day, he would throw tantrums and insisted that we carry him all the time. At night, we had to carry him in our arms until he slept before we could put him in the playpen without struggles. This boy is really testing my patience...... btw, I am carying him and typing at the same time now....... so annoying...........grrrrrr!!! I hope this is only a phase or maybe even teething......... sure hates it when he is in this cranky state.....it's driving me crazy!!!!

Ok, enough of complaints, here's some lame jokes by Roy during cell's ice-breaker yesterday....it's not very funny.............

1) Why don't birds in a nest ever disagree?
Ans: They don't want to fall out.

2)Why aren't ghosts good at telling lies?
Ans: You can see thru' them.

3) Doctor, doctor, I can't sleep at night.
Ans: Lie on the edge of the bed. You'll soon drop off.

4) Doctor, doctor, I feel like a wall.
Ans: Don't worry. you'll soon get over it.

5) Doctor, doctor, I feel like a pair of curtains.
Ans: Pull yourself together.

6) Why do cleaners makr good language learners?
Ans: They're always picking things up.

7) Did you hear about the stupid terrorist?
Ans: He burnt his lip on the exhaust pipe whilst trying to blow up a bus.

9) Who is always being let down by his mates?
Ans : A deep sea diver.

As you can tell, my cell is pretty fun....... but only if you enjoy corny and lame jokes!!!

My sis visited us in the morning. Joash had a fun time with her. He gave her lots of kisses and made her day! Check out his blog for more pics of them. www.tomsum.blogspot.com

STAR-STUDDED SERVICE
Last Sunday was a star-studded service for City Harvest Church.
See: http://www.chc.org.sg/english/video_sermons/index.cfm under Vision Weekend 2007 (Kong Hee).

You will find Compere/Actress Belinda Lee in the video announcement. Towards the end, Singer Sun Ho will make an appearance on stage. The greatest surprise for me was when Director JACK NEO....yes..... LIANG ZHI QIANG........ went for ministry during altar call......... yup...... he raised his hands (front row) singing the song "Saviour King" with the rest of the congregation! Of course, the camera was filming his wife and him on purpose I guess....who wouldn't! WOW....... God is good!

The sermon was fantastic too. It's about their church vision and building fund. Don't be frightened off by the constant encouragements by Ps. Kong to give cos it is their "Arise & Build" season...... they will be having a new church building right in the heart of Shenton Way............ yup..... as they always say..............in the marketplace and for the marketplace. I must say that I am really impressed and inspired by their passion and zeal in fulfilling the vision God has given them. Tho' there are many controversial issues revolving this church, they "survived" against all odds. To me, it's the "good tree bears good fruit and bad tree bears bad fruit theory". This church has been growing (22,000 people) and there are many salvations every week. If these are not evidence of them producing good fruit, I don't know what else can prove it??

I like their P&W, sermons and almost everything! Sad to say, I attend their service online more than my own church cos my church service starts at 9 am and Jo wakes up at about that time........... hate to wake him up early cos he can be one grouchy baby if he doesn't have enough sleep!

Anyway, go watch this star-studded event....oops.........I mean service...and hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

MY WEEKEND

Friday - Cell was at our place and we had a long discussion about how we could have a better and more organized cell meeting. Since most of our kids had grown up (we had a baby bloom 3 years ago till now), all felt that it's time for more discipline...haha....... I am one of those that need that.....keke! So in the end, we decided on a separate program for the kids (cos they're too noisy!) and a new schedule for the CG. Cell meetings will be held at our place for now.......yeah....... cos our place is the most convenience tho' it's a little cramp for a 4 families cell! We also set up a fine system for late-comers.....$5 for being late....."heng"...... it's at my place!

Saturday & Sunday - I had a 2 days Jolly Phonics & Jolly Grammer workshops on Sat & Sun. The workshops were so expensive...... $500 plus...... but the free gifts were good....... I think the $$$ was actually used for the gift. The sweet trainer from Perth was very experienced and warm........the lessons were great too. I spent lots of $$$ on the materials and even bought some story books for Joash. At the end of the workshops, we were awarded with certificates. I might even be selected (only by invitation!) to attend her "Training to be a Jolly Phonics/Grammer Trainer For Teachers" workshop cos the organiser had a conversation with me and she found out that I had great interest in kids and education so she took down my name & email addy. Hopefully, they will call me in November! Can't wait to start my own biz.......... going to "transform" my house soon....... ya dear??????

We had dinner at Hotel Windsor on Saturday. It was our first time there. Actually Tommy & I chanced upon this place while we were on the road some time ago. Tommy was attracted to the price ....... $9.80+++ for teochew porridge buffet while I was curious about what they would served for that price....... talk about different frequencies.......haha! The food was ok....... nothing very special....... but edible...... I like the fish....had about 3 of that. I was surprised to see prawns......... although I felt that they were not fresh so did not had much. Desserts were just fruit and ice-cream. I like the coffee ice-cream tho'........strange right?....... Bitter-sweet....... no frills....... just ice-cream. Joash had loads of ice-cream too till he pooed twice in the restaurant! The best part about the place was the big dining area and lighting......... they even provided a huge high-chair (like throne) for Prince Joash! Unfortunately, we agreed that this was probably our first and last time there.....still felt that Crystal Cafe and Quality Hotel were better.

Dinner was at IKEA on Sunday. It's been a long time since we had their yummy meatballs and chicken wings. I had 2 cups of coffee and was still able to sleep.......... hmm....... I think I am beginning to enjoy coffee...... first coffee flavoured ice-cream......then coffee with milk......... oh no....... got to stop before I become addicted!

Here's 2 pics of my "romantic" tea-break with Nicky while waiting for Evan at Bishan coffee shop. This sweetie pie picked me up at Braddell after my workshop...... Thanks Nicky..... you're the sweetest!

HEART-SHAPED SANDWICH WITH KAYA AND BUTTER PLUS A GLASS OF CHESTNUT DRINK

Oh, before I end this post, here's a "lucky" number for all 4D buyers (die....sure kena if some "holy" people see my post!)...anyway....if you win ...... don't forget me....haha!

A VERY COLD POST

Just finished 2 comics books this morning and still have another 5 more to go...haha! This got to be my new addiction: Comics. It all started when I went to the library 3 weeks ago and borrowed my first comic book about parenting. It was so funny that even Mich and Gil liked it. So last night, I borrowed another 7 more books.... I especially love the Baby Blues series......... kept laughing the whole night till this morning. I think all moms should get copies of them to de-stress....... sometimes, it's good to laugh at yourself......... you will definitely feel a 100 times better cos you realised that every parents go thru' the same crap as you!

Remember the video of Gil teaching Jo how to say "mama"....... I thot I was the only one with this problem....guess what? The mom in the book has exactly the same problem....she just can't get her girl to say "mama".....the girl kept saying "papa"............... so much like my dear son....hee!

By afternoon, my whole mind was filled with silly and cold jokes...........I came up with lots of crappy stuff and here's some:

1) Who had the best gynae and worst gynae by her side when she gave birth?
Ans: Eve...... God being the best and Adam being the worst!

2) If Eve's milk supply starts to dwindle, what can she give her a baby besides breast milk?
Ans: Cow's milk....... but what if the baby is allegic to it???
Ans: Don't worry...... she can choose from Lion, Tiger, Elephant, Monkey.....etc...... etc brands....... just latch the baby on........haha!.

3) Why I admired Eve? Because:
* she doesn't have in-laws to irritate her on what's right and wrong to do,
* she doesn't have nosey friends trying to show her what they know about baby,
* Adam will believe that she knows best as there are no one that he can compare with......hee!
* there are no other babies to compete with,
* she has the world to herself....no one will tell her that she is out of touch,
* Nobody will tell her that she is fat....not even Adam...... cos he doesn't even know what's "fat"!
* she can give her child any name and no one will make fun of it,
* she have God as her gynae and PD....100% safe,
* she doesn't have to worry about her Hb straying even when she doesn't have the mood for sex..........haha! ( then again....... you never know....some people just have exotic taste.......you know what I mean......haha....... die......I am polluting some pure minds here...... hey, come on..... she started to give birth after men has fallen...... so I am not surprised if Adam did something ridiculous!).
* her house can be as untidy as she likes........ there's no one to tell her that!
ok, ok, that's enough....... I can just rattle on you know!!!

Honestly, I wonder how Adam & Eve survive parenthood!!! They have none of what we have today....... like TV....what if their kids refuse to eat.......hmm........oh..... they have a real purple dino to entertain them..........how about steriliser for bottles..... wait a minute...... do they use bottle in the first place........... Diapers?...... maybe they use leaves but what if the baby kena rash..........oh I remember.......they have all the animals' skin to try........how about blender for purees.............. the hippos and elephants will do an excellent job in that!

Many people say such comics are trashy but I feel that you need some kind of intelligence to understand what they are implying......... hello...do you get it? I was trying to say that I am smart......hahahaha!

I think I am going crazy......... if I am a stand-up comedian.....sure kena throw tomatoes and banana skins with all this silly and cold jokes......... it's time I give myself a break from the comics.........that's why I am blogging now! It's time to take my dose of humour.....bye!

2 BABY 1ST MONTH CELEBRATIONS IN ONE DAY PLUS OTHER PICS

I was awaken yesterday morning by loud music and noises cos the RC had organized a Children's Day Party for the residents in my area. Joash slept thru' despite the noisy party. I took a few pics from my place. I think Joash will enjoy it especially the bubbles part.......too bad, he got up late.

We also attended 2 baby 1st month celebrations yesterday. And both start and end at the same time....... so we had to rush from one place to another. Joash seemed to enjoy the crowd especially the kids. We were at Baby Ashur's party (Mimi's boy) in the morning. He was such an angel. Everyone could carry him and he would stare at you for a long time. Eventually, he got tired and fell asleep quietly on the bed. So sweet ya? I missed those times when Jo will sleep and eat (but not the crying....no thanks pls!) when he was a new born. Now I have become his personal nutritionist, entertainer and PE teacher...phew!! We brought Joash home for his nap before rushing off to Baby Faith's party (Huiling's girl) in the afternoon.

The party was like a reunion with my previous church mates from HMC. Everyone has grown up....... almost all are married and have kids! I can just recalled those days when we were actively serving in Youth Ministry and screaming our hearts out for Jesus....... now we are all reduced to screaming at our kids..... haha! I took some pics of them (esp for Ale to see!). Hwee Bee was like a big sis to me when I was working in HMC. I really like her a lot....so sweet and gentle! Then comes the sweet gal Eileen who used to lead songs and play the guitar plus keyboard (still playing!) who has turned into a hot mama with a 15 mth old girl. Su ling was there too with her BF........ late as usual...... but still as toned and pretty. All of us have changed so much. Someone told us that we looked exactly the same as 10 years ago....haha....how could that be! Huiling had her hair permed..... she reminded me of those moms who get their hair permed after having a baby......hee! But she still looked as sweet tho'. Can't belive she's a mom now......... always felt that she was like a little girl...... shopping for her Eeyore (I think she still does!)and "tehing" away.....hmm............ sounds a little like me....... oh gosh, we're so "child-like"....... refusing to grow up despite the fact that we're moms.........haha! She's also as paranoid as me cos she doesn't allow anyone to take pics of her girl with flash (I took one and kena scolding..haha!)......... I was like that and still am when Jo was a tiny baby! I call it maternal instinct.....we just want to protect our babies...... what's wrong with that???? Baby Faith was sleeping most of the time. Her MIL kept telling Tommy & I to teach the couple how to take care of their baby girl. We know they will turn out fine without any help...... that's how all first time parents learnt......thru' trial and error.....and we hate it when other people try to poke their irritating noses into our biz......... plus we don't want to risk getting punch from Huiling......keke We left about 6 pm.

Mich , Ken & Gil were at our place watching DVDs. They had to wait cos absent minded Tommy (as usual) had forgotten (even after I reminded him 4 times!!!!) that we were supposed to leave the house by 4 plus cos the celebration end at 6 pm. He thot that the party starts at 6.30pm!!! So poor Mich and Ken had to wait at home for us. Anyway, we were exhausted by the end of the day.

Below is a video of Ken setting his "heart" on fire last week when we brought Jo out to "ti tern long" (lantern).

Go see Joash's blog for more pics and videos of him celebrating Mid-autumn Festival.
