STAY
Woke up this morning with this Lisa Loeb's song in my head.......... must be from all videos I have been watching these days. "Stay" brought back memories of my youth days (I am that old???? sigh....). It also reminded me of a guy that I "make use" to complete a project in poly. He knew I liked this song and went to get the album so that I could listen to it while he helped me with my Comp project.........anyway, in short, I was bad....... really bad............. heartless to a certain extent....... ok just hope you like the song...... Lisa Loeb has a beautiful voice but a rather geeky image. Till today, she still wears her famous geek specs!

LISA LOEB LIVE (STAY)

STAY

You say I only hear what I want to.
You say I talk so all the time so.

And I thought what I felt was simple,
And I thought that I don't belong,
And now that I am leaving,
Now I know that Idid something wrong 'cause Imissed you.
Yeah, I missed you.

And you say I only hear what I want to:
I don't listen hard,
Don't pay attention to the distance that you're running
or to anyone, anywhere,
I don't understand if you really care,
I'm only hearing negative: no, no, no.

So I turned the radio on, I turned the radio up,
And this woman was singing my song:
The lover's in love, and the other's run away,
The lover is crying 'cause the other won't stay.

Some of us hover when we weep for the other who was
Dying since the day they were born.
Well, this is not that:
I think that I'm throwing, but I'm thrown.

And I thought I'd live forever, but now I'm not so sure.

You try to tell me that I'm clever,
But that won't take me anyhow, or anywhere with you.

You said that i was naive,
And I thought that I was strong.
I thought, "hey, I can leave, I can leave."
But now I know that I was wrong, 'cause I missed you.

You said, "I caught you 'cause I want you and one day I'll let you go."
"You try to give away a keeper, or keep me 'cause you know you're just
Scared to lose.
And you say, "stay."

You say I only hear what I want to.

MORE UPDATES
I've been updating my blog regularly...... thanks to that "dark" creature! Now back to my fave topic........ FOOD & FUN!

First on the list AUNTY LEOW BIRTHDAY DINNER AT SPRING COURT. I have been there a few times. Honestly, the food isn't as fantastic. I only like the prawns cos they were fresh & sweet!

Aunty Leow is our long time family friend. She used to bring me out for shopping trips and food when I was in secondary school. I find her a very understanding and caring person. She has come a long way. Single handedly, she raised her son and took care of her sick mom. That night at the dinner, she thanked us for our friendship and support all these years. She even wept .......... I was almost in tears too! May you have a VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Visited the Singapore National Museum on Monday. Gil was with us too. Haven't been there for ages. We wanted to bring Jo for their Children Season programme. There wasn't much stuff that were catered to his age but nonetheless, Jo enjoyed himself, especially at the Mozart Murmur playground for tots.

I had this KFC FISH ZINGER before class on Tuesday. Still prefer the Chicken Zinger. This fish version just didn't taste quite right. Maybe dory fish shouldn't be served with bread. I think it will taste better as Dory fish & Cheese Fries set meal.

These are the kids that I am teaching Speech & Drama to every Tuesday. Think another assignment is coming up....... will be busier soon!

My aunt invited us over for steamboat on Wednesday. Tho' it was only 6 of us (my mom, sis, ah ma, aunt & us), I enjoyed my time with them. Btw, I was having diarrhoea that day cos I had Tom Yum instant vermicelli for lunch with an empty stomach. But I still managed to dunk all the yummy food into my tummy! Hee hee.....

I miss watching "THEY KISS AGAIN!" on Youtube. I wish they will have Part 3......... here's a short clip from this Taiwan drama serial. Good nite!

COCKROACHES ARE EVIL! Part 2
That darned cockroach.......... Tom threw it in the toilet bowl but it resurrected this morning! See I told you, cockroaches are evil. So what did I do to the ugly fellow? I closed the toilet cover and flushed more than a hundred times (actually only 10 times)............ grrrrr.............. hope it will drown and died a a horrible death!

If I am not afraid of cockroach, I will pull out all it's legs one at a time......... followed by the feelers then I will pour bleach and glue on it.......... muahahahahaha!

I feel much better now after ventilating.

COCKROACHES ARE EVIL!
I hate cockroaches............ wish that all of them are dead. They are the filthiest, ugliest and whatever disgusting descriptions that you can think of. I also dislike people who laughs, make fun or get frustrated at those cockroach fearing humans like me! I think they should be fined and have their lips poked by a hundred needles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why am I so irrtated and pissed??? Becos one of those hateful creature (pilot trained ok!) was in my house an hour ago and someone got angry with me (Don't ask, you know who!). I was trembling in the room with the door shut. I even prayed that God would kill that sickening bug....... I spout nonsense when I am afraid............... that someone thot I gone beserk! Anyway, he couldn't find that stupid thing. So tried to calm myself down and told him to bring me out of the room cos my legs were numb from all the trembling. Suddenly he shouted, "I found it!" Guess where he saw it................... AT MY DOOR........... ALMOST DYING!!!!!! Peace at last....... I seriously think God answered my prayer (defying all good christian teachings about "God is the one who made insect so we must love them or this is bondage, got to cut......... oh pls........ give me a break!!!! I hate them. period). I know you might think I am crazy but I am just glad that it was dead.

Btw, I hate all insects and every other creatures that are not humans. Stay away from me non-humans or you will regret!

A THANKFUL HEART IS A HAPPY HEART
I was glad to hear more news of survivors in Sichuan and praying for more! Had been crying while watching news last week. Couldn't help feeling the heartaches that the parents were experiencing. I think I can understand the pain of losing a child. My prayers really goes out to them.

The weather has been terribly warm these days! And it's making me irritable......... Lost my voice suddenly too! Even tho' I am typing this post in an air conditioned room, I could still feel the heat! Despite the warm weather and my "sexy" voice, I still have some good things to thank God for.

Went shopping for a pair of shoes for Jo last week. We had a simple dinner at Pasta Mania. They were having some promotional items and we ordered the Miso Mushroom pasta from the special menu. Ordered my fave Alfredo pasta too! When our food arrived, I spotted something missing from my Alfredo spaghetti.............. THE GREEN PEAS! How could they forget my fave green peas........ told Tom to get it changed immediately. The supervisor apologised and told us that they had ran out of green peas........hmmm............. they should inform us beforehand! I know, I know, I sounded like I had over reacted over the missing green peas but I am a green pea lover plus it's only courteous to inform your customers if there were any changes made to the menu. But before I could give her my 2 cents worth, she told us that she would ask the chef to add in shitake mushrooms instead........ SHITAKE MUSHROOMS..........I have no complaints..................haha! Btw, I like mushrooms more than green peas. Our pasta weren't that great cos I think the garlic were a little burnt but we still managed to clear our plates.
Thank God for missing green peas cos we got a better deal..... MUSHROOMS!

My SIL bought a pouch for me as a gift for helping with Baby Ryan. She also gave us a box of Royce chocolate.............. heavenly! Thank God for Baby Ryan.....haha......... seriously, I like taking care of my little nephew gift or no gift!

Gil bought me a cute strawberry purse with lots of Fish & Co sweets stuffed in it! Thank God for friends who remember you when they shop....keke!

Look! I've got beautiful toe nails! Went JB with Gil to have my nails done. Cheap and good. I bought some clothes too. Dinner was at Kinsahi again. We'll be back to try the food at Gary Kim Hong Kong Restaurant. Can't wait! Thank God for nail polish and yummy food!

I spring-cleaned our wardrobes and am very satisfied with the results............

These 5 bags of clothes were taken out of my cupboard. Yes, I am giving and selling them away!

The Result!

Next, I cleaned up Tom's side and these were what I evacuated from his wardrobe! 10 full bags of old clothing!

The result. I think I deserve a pat on my shoulder!

Thank God for clean wardrobes and wives who love to clean them..... hee!

My dad came over to my place with pressies from his China trip. 2 bags & some accessories! Thank God for my doting papa!

And most importantly, thank God for my lovely family and SHOES...... hahahaha!

A THANKFUL HEART IS A HAPPY HEART!

MOSTLY GOOD FOOD & FRIENDS PLUS MOTHER'S DAY SPECIAL
I have soooooo many pics to upload, will write less and let the pics do most of the talking!

1) J.CO Donuts (THIS IS ESPECIALLY FOR RACHEL) - Check out their website! http://www.jcodonuts.com/

IMO, J.CO Donuts makes the best donuts in Singapore! Gil, Tom & ...... think Jo agrees too! Tho' I am not a donut lover, I do sometimes enjoy them especially the savoury ones ....me no sweet tooth.....keke! Tried all the big brands before but their donuts are just not as good as J.CO's. Their donuts are soft and fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside....... very yummy! These are what we bought (A pity I didn't bring the cam if not the pics would make Rachel homesick!!):

Look at the way Jo gobbled up the donut.... a sure indication that the donut was good!

After buying the donuts, we headed over to Shokudo for dinner. They have the same concept as Marche but the food served are mostly Japanese. We were rather captivated by the decor and food at first sight so in the end, we ordered 5 dishes for 3 of us to share....... many people were staring at our table...keke.......but who cares....I am here to eat! The food were alright.... The Jap Curry Chicken Katsu, Teriyaki Chicken Burger and Mushroom with Cheese omelet were good but the Rosti and Kakiage were a great disappointment. The potatoes were uncooked and the sausage was almost tasteless. The kakiage tasted more like vegetable pancakes cos they were soft on the inside....... think the flour wasn't cooked. Will give these 2 dishes a miss the next round. We met Huiling and family too.....what a small world. Baby Faith is super duper adorable. Plus she really enjoys her food! As I did not bring my cam, the pics were once again dark & blurry....grrrrrrrrrrr.................

2) Last Saturday, I decided to cook cos I couldn't get enough of the Japanese Curry that I had at Shoduku (Btw, they use pre-mixed curry sauce!) and also to fulfill my promise of cooking Jap curry for Ken. So I went to buy a box of S&B curry pre-mixed cubes, CP fried chickens, potatoes, carrots & onions to make my first home-made Japanese curry. The results were pretty good (to me!). I think my guests enjoyed the food too....... I hope!

3) MOTHER'S DAY SPECIAL

Tom bought me a miniature pink Care Bear and some cute purses plus dinner at Fish & Co on Monday. He also woke up early in the morning to secretly post an entry on Jo's blog to wish me Happy Mother's Day with a very adorable MV .................. quite sweet of him........ guess my hint in the previous post works!

We had dinner At Fish & Co on Monday. We wanted to give Gil, Jo's Godma a Mother's Day treat and also to celebrate Mich's entry into the Uni. Here are some pics:

Celebrated Mother's Day with my family too. It was potluck at my aunt's place. I prepared Herbal Chicken cos it required the least preparation! HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY, MAMA!

My niece & nephew also made some chocolate cornflakes cookies for me as a Mother's Day gift.......... so thoughtful & sweet!

4) My nephew Baby Ryan is growing bigger and cuter each day. He weighs about 5 kg at 1 month plus. I am still helping my SIL once a week. Btw, I had a very long & "scary" dream last nite..... I dreamt that I was pregnant and doing all the preggy stuff like seeing a gynea and eating........ I woke up half way in my dream but continued the same dream when I went back to sleep! Guess cos I have been taking care of Ryan and secretly wishing that I could have another baby without going thru' a difficult pregnancy. Just the thought of it brings shivers down my spine.... yes, it's that tough!

5) My K1 kids. They are really a lovely bunch! I took these pics without looking at the screen, that's the reason why some of their heads and faces were "cut off".

6) Gil found this little creature in her fried bee hoon....... yucky!

7) I made this potato salad today cos Mich requested for it! I packed a box for her to bring home and the 3 of us finished the rest.

That's enough pics for the day....time to rest my eyes and fingers. Good nite!
