AN EVENTFUL DAY PLUS LOTS OF OTHER STUFF

GUESS WHAT'S THIS?????????? WANT TO KNOW................... READ ON!!!!!!!!!!!

Yesterday was my first day without my hubby at home......... I missed him so much till I can't sleep the night before........... but finally slept at about 3 am............. plus I am super imaginative.............. whole night thinking of nonsense.............. anyway, he'll be back tomorrow.......and Kuen may be fetching him together with us......... YEAH.............. I just can't wait to see him plus all my goodies....hahahahaha................. no la............... I miss him more.............really!!

I had Dim Sum Buffet with the Lees at Dragon Gate Restaurant yesterday afternoon. It was my first time taking Joash out on a long outing without Tommy............. ya la.............. I am spoilt can! I must complain about the silly traffic jam near AMK on CTE............... the taxi went so slowly till I got headache and felt like vomitting (ok, I've got motion sickness!). Plus my dear Joash kept clinbing up and down the seat. I think Ang Mo Kio estate must be the most populated and popular estate since it seems like every vehicles were coming out from it................. no wonder also got the most mosquitoes................. if I am a mosquito............... I will sure choose to stay there..............then I will have a great feast everyday!!!!!!!!!!! (hahaha....... Ale laughed when I told her that in the taxi and she asked me if the taxi driver was laughing.................. I was more iriitated then amused.....hee!) Anyway............... the traffic subsided when we were nearing the "tunnel" (I don't what road is that......... so don't laugh at me ok....I think this tunnel will lead to chinatown and SGH....whatever!). And finally.....after about an hour........ we arrived at Harbour Front.....and Joash had fallen asleep in my arms.......................... I have to pay about $20 plus for my Cab fees......... that cost more than my buffet! Ale met me there and I was really giddy and vomitky................ but it did not dampen my appetite for the DIM SUM.........keke...... really "tarm jia"!

The restaurant is big and spacious with lots of people but not too overcrowding. I've been wanting to try their dim sum......so finally.....I got to taste them. A pity, I did not bring my camera....... if not can show you all the yummy food! We had Century Eggs Porridge (it was so bland that only Joash liked it!!), mushroom seafood balls, pork ribs, chestnut cake, wantons, siew mai, har kaw, seaweed rolls....................... lots of other food la! Overall............ the food was good and Kendrick asked me what rating will I give for the food.......I told him about 7/10 cos I love century eggs porridge but their version was too bland for me.......... nevertheless.............. I will still go back for their tim sum.......cos the rest of the food was very good and the price is so reasonable ($12.90+++ for weekdays and $15.90+++ for weekends). And one thing.............. my son was very well behaved throughout my meal........ I think it's becos he get to feed himself with 2 spoons! But before we left, I had to take the spoon away and he screamed and cried so loudly............... but stopped after a while. Kendrick sent us home....... thanks Kendrick for the ride back altho' I also felt like puking throughout the journey.......... and thanks to Joash again cos he moves too much!

Michelle came to visit us in the evening and also took us out to Causeway point. I got to do some grocery shopping. We had lunch at Mcdonald's...............and I wanted to give her a treat but realised I forgotten my wallet so she paid for my food instead (but gave her back when I am home)! Anyway......we had a good time chatting and shopping. Ok now for the blood-stained hanky issue (see pic above.............. Mich was sending us home when Joash suddenly knocked his chin on my shoulder.............and cried so badly.................. when I carried him around, I saw so much blood coming out of his mouth............ Mich was shocked too and she quickly parked aside. We had to use about 3 tissues to wipe off the blood.............. and realised that Joash's upper gum had a tiny hole caused by the knocking............... poor fellow................ was crying in pain. But after a while, he stopped crying and started to suck his thumb and smile at us................phew...........that was a sign that he'll be ok! As for the hanky............. he bled a second time when we were home............think he accidentally touched his gum again.........so we used the hanky to clean it up. Mich was so sweet.........told me that she will keep her phone on so that I can get her if I need help..................................................................................
.
THANK YOU SO MUCH MICHELLE! YOU'RE SUCH AN ANGEL AND THANKS FOR YOUR COMPANY TOO!

PHONICS EXAM IS OVER>>>>I AM BACK!

YES, YES, YES........my Phonics exam is finally over........... >pat myself<.......... my face is covered in pimples due to the stress and late nights.......... poor me! I've got so much to update....... don't know where to begin...so will just randomly share whatever that comes to mind............ so don't mind my messy thoughts.......

Firstly, the pics you see above are my practicum teaching aids....... wanted to load my class pics from my trainer's website but realized that the pics beame so blurred when I download them....sian! I am so glad to say that I did well for my practicum (though I don't know my grade...haha!). My Trainer Melissa, told me what I did was "perfect" and she couldn't find any fault with it............ you must be thinking I yaya papaya right?....... pls hor........>blush<......I am just stating what she said............. I was so happy that I kept smiling till the next day........ my efforts were all worth it.......... great sacrifice for me you know........... zits and all! I am going to miss Melissa so so much.

I really enjoyed my course so much that it set me thinking about working again. I have decided to go freelance now and then bring Joash to work with me at a childcare centre when he turns 4. Going for classes also give me some time to myself....... really enjoy and treasure it everytime I am out of the house (tho' I miss Joash too). Tommy was also glad to have some time alone with him. (without me nagging him! haha......). He calls it Father-Son bonding time. Tommy is also busy with his new Spa business. He will be going to Thailand this weekend till Tuesday. this is the first time he is going away for so long....... I am going to miss him very much..... and I am going to be so alone and bored. He is really sweet....cos he has already start stocking up the fridge today with food for my meals....... CP wantons, CP chicken wings..... and instant noodles. Oh.............. dear don't forget to buy many many many things for me and Joash ok? Luv you lots lots!

Yeah...... I am so excited over the fact that I will be going overseas......haha........ not on a plane but by car to Desaru.............. still consider overseas right......got to cross the causeway ok! Anyway............. we will be going for church camp on the 10th of this month till the 13th. Ps Benny will be preaching.....miss his preaching so so much........ we need to talk to him over some decisions we are making...... hope to get some words of wisdom from this wise guy! I am also a little worried over whether Joash can get used to sleeping with us and the changes cos he is such a routine baby! I think we will be moving many things over........... like moving house.............. jia lat! Btw, Rachel, thanks for the car!

We have been going to AMK Hub for the past few weeks for shopping and dinner. It a wonderful place for me cos........... there are so many boutiques to choose from............. but the crowd is horrible plus terrible............ esp during the week ends............... my advice is to eat elsewhere before going there to shop! Every restaurants (food court too!) is packed and the queues are super long! There is also an extra large NTUC supermarket but I hated it cos it's too big and I find it hard to look for things I want. If you plan to go there.....do try the yummy muffins made from belgium chocolate (outside NTUC)........ so many varieties (oreo , cherry, cheese, ....etc)! The D24 durian desserts are great .......... and don't forget my favourite A1 curry puffs too...... goody goody!

Beside the Hub and if you don't mind the heat, you can also shop around the central for nice food and stuff....... my cheap cherry bag was bought in a "zhabalang" shop! And there's a big craft shop beside S11....I got my teaching materials from there................ wow.............haha............. I sound like a tour guide for AMK central..................... "come come, don't shy...... shop here...".

Have not been chatting with Ale for some time due to my exams. Miss talking to her in the morning but she needs to bring Asher to school. She had to shop in Orchard for 3 hours every morning......haha.......... I know many of us wish for that............. for everyday.............. can be really bored esp without company!

My little Joash is beginning to have a mind of his own now......... when he want something......he must have it......... really testing our patience. And recently, he needs us to accompnay him to bed (day & night!)....if not.....he will wailed at the top of his voice (he lost his voice...... so husky now!). Not only that....he cries whenever we changed his diaper and bathe him......... got to distract him with something "cold" or "guihua"(his GF, those who had seen him with it, will know what it is...haha!) every time......... He is really driving us mad.......but then again......... he is such a cute little boy....... will "sayang" us when we pretend to cry ......and got us so thri1lled everytime he says something. Well....guess this is parenting......... you get both the valleys and the mountains. And oh....he is getting his Chicky pox jab tomorrow......... please pray that he wil not get fever and there will be no pain for him.

Wow wee................ very long post............... pardon me la............... have not been blogging for so long so need to let it all out............ thanks for your patience! Kiss Kiss....... >muacks<

30/4 & 1/5 - SOME PICS ON WHAT I DID (CHECK OUT JOASH'S BLOG FOR MORE!)

30/4: We went to United Square to check out the warehouse sale at Toys'r us but we did not buy anything. Then we decided to eat at Quality Hotel. We were told by the manager that we need to wait about an hour and a half for our table so we had porridge buffet at Crystal Cafe, Killiney Rd instead (just the two of us & Joash). The food was good. They were serving my favourite chicken and yam and stir fried brinjal.......... yum yum.......>drool<.....................

After dinner, we went to pick Tim up at Outram Park cos a group of our young friends were going to stay at my place for the night. Tommy dropped by Ale's place to pick up the pot for Aunty Cindy. Joash fell asleep in the van on our way back.

When we arrived, the group were already there. Rachel made some dumplings for supper. They were yummy! We watched Music & Lyrics by Hugh Grant & Drew Barrymore. Nice show..........sweet & funny! Kenneth kept singing one of the sound tracks.............. so siao! We slept at about 3.30 am!

1/5 - LABOUR DAY

We woke up early and got ready for our swim at Northoaks. Joash woke up at about 9.40 am and we had to feed and dressed him up. He looked so cute in his wetsuit. He was so excited to see his young friends........kept saying hi and clapping his hands...........haha!

It was Joash's first time in a swimming pool and he seemed a little scared. He cried when we put him into a float so we had to carry him thru'out the time there. The water was also rather cold. We took lots of pics. The guys threw Nicky into the pool (he was not swimming) and he was totally drenched.........poor boy! We went back earlier to bathe and feed Joash. We had lunch at Pizza Hut before coming back to my house to slack. My mom and sis came over too! They brought some blueberries muffins for us.

We had dinner at Giant with my parents. The char siew and roasted pork were so delicious and crispy (Normally I will not touch fatty pork...hate the taste but this is really good......no fats!). We ordered a lot of food and shared. The time spent with my parents were great!

So this ends my very busy and enjoyable Labour Day. Ya......back to labouring....hee!
