MY LITTLE DARLINGS AND MORE.......

I am back!!!!!!!!! This week had been a mad rush for me again....... had to teach on Tuesday, Thursday & Friday. Wednesday is "school" for me. We have just ended our last lesson and the next 2 weeks are going to be exams......... scare scare! The last lesson was on tenses, vivid vocabulary, genre and lesson planning.............. so many things to digest! And yup, I am going to be busy, busy, busy preparing for practicum & theory again! I am going to be free soon.........yippee!

The vitagen's packaging looks beautiful right? Gillian bought them for me...thanks girl! But it's acquired taste.....can you imagine drinking lavender juice??? Hahaha!

And oh, those are my little darlings. We celebrated Elmo's birthday today. Actually, we were learning about parties and fruit. They are really a bunch of sweeties....cute ya?

We brought Joash for his 18 months booster jab yesterday. Poor boy, kena low grade fever until now....hope he will recover by tomorrow! Btw, I took my weight at the clinic too......... I HAVE PUT ON WEIGHT............ I knew it's going to happen cos I stop breastfeeding....it was the same thing with Barn the last time....have to cut down on snacks and exercise plus more time with my OTO Trimax....think I will start the home spa again after exams.

Just as I was feeling upset over my weight gain today, I saw on TV.....................Tyra Banks (the retired supermodel) talking about her increasing flab today. She was defending herself and helping ladies who were voluptuous to not be afraid of what people say about their weight...... those who were there were taught to find their "so what" moments - for eg, wearing a bikini and walk down the mall without bothering about nasty comments! But she did emphasized that she was not advocating fatness but asking people to stand up for themselves and love their bodies. Everyone in the studio were wearing a sexy tube swimsuit with their weight on it. They were declaring loudly the "SO WHAT!" message......haha! I stood up and jiggle my arms in front of Tommy and said, "So what if my arms jiggle!" It was hilarious!!!!! I do agree with her that we need to love our bodies but at the same time take care of them! Below is a video from youtube of her "attacks" before her defenses on TV today. I will pose the "defenses" video when it is up on Youtube...... she is fierce man! But that does not mean that I am not going to lose those weight. I have decided to either enrol myself in a hip hop dance class or a gym for women..... you just wait to see a new me! And by the way, I am 55.7 kg as of yesterday....... and "SO WHAT!" Haha..................

UPDATEZ
Woo......... it's been a busy week for me! I have just started my freelance job on Tuesday. I had a fabulous time with the kids. I am teaching Creative & Dramatics Reading.....sound very "pro" right? But in actual fact, it's just simple drama and reading. The lesson plans given to me are so boring plus no teaching aids....so in the end, I had to come up with my own! That's why I am so busy this week! I am also starting another class next week....can't wait! I think I really enjoy teaching.

I am using up a lot of my brain cells studying too. Just did a presentation on poetry yesterday and I was rather satisfied with my "performance"! My exams are nearing..... and by mid August, I am a free woman!

And oh, Tommy has his own personal blog now. Click on the link to see what's going on his life!

Some updates on Joash:
He can run and dance altho he tumbles a lot too! His favourite words are "wait", "here", "go go go!", "where", "hi" and of course "bye"....... the last word is used to shoo people off.....haha! He had to say all these words to himself before he sleeps....Tommy and I find it so amusing. He is no longer on breast milk and is enjoying his expensive "Pediasure" formula milk! He still eats about the same amount of porridge.......sianz........ but with more snacks in between. He get really excited when he hears the word "yogurt". He will run to the kitchen and wait at the fridge. He even sit down quietly and feed himself.......... such a darling! He likes music a lot. His fave instrument is the guitar, follow by the drums....... whenever he hears music, he will pick up these 2 instruments to play. This boy is also getting very "manja". He sticks to me like super glue! But I am still enjoying every bit of him.

Ok nothing more to say......... so unlike me.....haha....maybe too tired la...... going to update Joash's blog now.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DARLING!
Haha....another song in just 2 days... but today is special cos it's my Darling's birthday! Dear, this song is for you. I am sure you remember me singing this song when we're dating right? In fact I first heard this song when I was sec 1..............Yes, it's that old (Their clothes and hairstyle tell it all!)....... but I hope our love will be sweeter as we get older ...... woo...mushy stuff.........keke.......this song by Surface is just so romantic. Click this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=13F6ino_GT8 for the original version cos youtube does not allow embedding for this video! Just in case I couldn't sing it as well, go check it out...... it's quite a difficult song to sing!

DEAR, I LOVE YOU AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

SHOWER ME WITH YOUR LOVE

My heart is filled with so much love

And I need someone I can call my own

To fall in love--that's what ev'ryone's dreaming of

I hold this feeling oh so strong

Life is too short to live alone

Without someone to call my own

I will care for you,

You will care for me

Our love will live forever

Shower me with your love

Shower me with the love that I long for

Shower me with your love

Shower me with the love I've been waiting for

I close my eyes and pray all my wishes come true

Ev'ry night I go to sleep

Until you're mine,

I'll wait for you endlessly

Can't you see

Fairy tales, they do sometimes come true

If you believe,

It could happen to you

Like the stars that shine way up in the sky

Our love will live forever

SOMEWHERE OUT THERE: FOR DEAREST RACHEL
A SONG FOR RACHEL

TOMMY'S FAREWELL SPEECH TO RACHEL

SHARON'S FAREWELL SPEECH TO RACHEL

Rachel, hope you like the song as much as we do. All that we want to say is in the videos. Dear girl, we are really going to miss you so so much...... miss your laughters, miss your cooking, miss all the fun with you, miss the punks....... miss you miss you miss you...... here's a hug and a kiss for you! I really hate seeing people leave....... but I know we will see you soon and yes together with Emmie and hopefully some blue eyes hunks too........ haha! See you on Friday!

SOMEWHERE OUT THERE
(James Ingram & Linda Ronstadt)

Somewhere out there
Beneath the pale moonlight
Someone's thinking of me
And loving me tonight

Somewhere out there
Someone's saying a prayer
That we'll find one another
In that big somewhere out there

And even though
I know how very far apart we are
It helps to think
We might be wishing
On the same bright star

And when the night wind
Starts to sing a lonesome lullaby
It helps to think
We're sleeping underneath
The same big sky

Somewhere out there
If love can see us through
Then we'll be together
Somewhere out there
Out where dreams, come true

PROJECT: PUNK RACHEL

We had a great time punking Rachel on Sunday. She thought we were going to celebrate Tommy's birthday and she was so well dressed. Btw, we had a enjoyable and yummy dinner at Sakura. And oh....did I mention that she had to walk from Specialist Centre to the restaurant........ you should see the number of people staring at her......haha...... she is going to be as famous as famous Amos..........Ra, we love you and we hope you still love us too! For more details, see the videos below!

PUNK RACHEL PROJECT PART 1

We tricked Rachel into taking a pic with us. Tommy took the chance to blindfold her from the back. She was totally unaware of it......muahahaha! We frightened her by saying that we wanted to "disfigure" her with paint and crayons but in actual fact, we only use chalk and water....... we still want her to look nice at the restaurant!

PUNK RACHEL PROJECT PART 2

We told Daryl to buy a shirt for her as a revenge for himself (remember how he was punked at Marins Sq???). Evan designed the shirt......looks really nice. Kenneth made the big and beautiful hat for her to walk down Orchard Road. It took him about half an hour to do that! We took lots of pics with her....... with lots of evil grins too! I love you Ra...really!

PUNK RACHEL PROJECT PART 3

This is how we "kidnap" her. We put her in the van and sent her to the restaurant. The gals were singing at the top of their voices. LOok how pathetic Rachel is....poor gal!

PUNK RACHEL PROJECT PART 4

This is Rachel walking from Specialist Centre in her "full costume" with lots of people staring at her. We sang her her favourite song too: "I love you, you love me, we're happy family, with a great big hug and a kiss from me to you, won't you say you love me too!" Joash was also very happy to hear that song and he was dancing away!

PUNK RACHEL PROJECT PART 5

We have finally arrived at the restaurant. Listen carefully to what Daryl say........ He told her we're going on the stage.......haha!

PUNK RACHEL PROJECT PART 6

Rachel was finally set free! We took lots of pics with her. Ra...... we gonna miss you so much. Btw, with the 2 Punk Queens away, me, the Punk Dowager is going to retire......... maybe I will be revived in October for some hairy biz......muahahahaha!

TO RACHEL: WE HOPE YOU ENJOYED THE PUNK AND HERE'S A BIG HUG & KISS FOR YOU!

THE ELECTRIC NEW PAPER
LOITER
FAVOURITISM IN THE FAMILY SISTER, 9, NEEDS TO STUDY INSIDE SO NOISY TODDLERS HAVE TO... JURONG TWINS AT VOID-DECK FROM 7AM-11PM EVERY DAY
By Hedy Khoo
July 09, 2007

You can call them Jurong's void-deck twins.
Almost daily, this pair of 2-year-old boys wander and sleep at the void-deck of their block, along with their two maids, from morning until sometimes very late at night.

The maids have to take care of the boys downstairs, apparently on the instructions of the boys' parents, who also have two daughters, aged 4 and 9.

According to the maids, they have to stay with the boys at the void-deck because the parents didn't want the boys disturbing their elder sister.

The boys have become such a fixture at the void decks that they have aroused the curiosity and sympathy of some residents in the area.

Neighbours said they could be spotted there from as early as 7am, till as late as 10 or 11pm. One resident, who wanted to be known as only Mr Lucien, called The New Paper hotline after seeing the boys for the last eight months.

DOWN ALL THE TIME
'They are downstairs all the time,' said the 52-year-old horticulturist.
'How can parents allow their young children to loiter around with the maids all day? The boys have a home, but they can't enjoy the comforts of it.'
Mr Lucien said he often sees
the boys crying downstairs.
'I feel very sad, and my heart goes out to them. The boys cry, the maids try to console them, but they too end up crying,' he said.
'The boys often sleep downstairs, with the stone bench as their bed.'

With dengue epidemic, some residents also feel it is risky to keep the boys in open areas for so long. Another resident, a 55-year-old housewife who wanted to be known as Mrs Tan, said the boys' grandmother would usually come downstairs and stay with them after 7 pm.Said Mrs Tan, who has been living there for eight months: 'I find it strange that the family can afford two maids, but can't give one room to the boys, switch on the air-conditioner and let the boys stay there.'It's very pitiful, to see the maids rocking the boys to sleep sometimes, but they still hang around downstairs, instead of putting the boys to bed properly.
'It's as if they are homeless. This is not the right way to bring up a child.'A resident, who wanted to be known only as Madam Ng, said that on one occasion she approached the maids and asked them to take the sleeping children upstairs. But they just kept quiet and remained downstairs, cradling the boys in their arms.

Said the 36-year-old housewife, who has two children: 'The void deck is not a home. 'I won't allow my maid to hang around with my children like this, especially when there is a construction site nearby.' Madam Ng found it strange that even on
Christmas Day last year, she found the children and the maids hanging around downstairs in the night.'I remember I was surprised to see them downstairs in the night when we came back from celebrating Christmas,' she said. 'It's also not fair to the maids. It's actually more tiring than staying at home and doing housework.'

Their routine doesn't change even when it's raining heavily.
Madam Irene Tan, 45, a sales co-ordinator, said: 'It is pathetic. Even when it is raining heavily, they are still wandering around downstairs.
'It looks as if the boys are homeless.' She recalled: 'Once I touched one boy's forehead and he was running a fever, but he still had to remain downstairs.
'I told the maids I could speak to their employer, but they are so afraid, they asked me not to.'

When approached, the two maids said it was their routine to come downstairs at 7 am and they had to stay there until late at night. The maids could take turns to return to the flats to shower, have their meals and do household chores.
They said the boys' maternal grandmother stays with the family from Mondays to Fridays. Asked why they cannot stay at home, both maids replied that it was because
their employers found the twins noisy, and didn't want them to disturb the eldest daughter from doing her homework. But it appeared that they had to be at the void deck even when the girl must have been at school.

When The New Paper approached the boys' grandmother, she gave the same reason.'The twins are noisy and their sister needs to do her homework. It's normal. Their second sister was raised this way, and she is okay,' said the woman, who declined to give her name. When probed further, the grandmother refused to reply and walked away.

When we asked the maids if their employers seem to love their two girls more than the twins, the maids merely shook their heads and replied: 'We don't know. Don't ask us, we don't understand.'

When The New Paper on Sunday tried interviewing the father of the boys at their unit, the man said it was his family's 'private business'.
He declined to speak further and slammed his front door shut.

NOT SEEN FOR 2 DAYS
According to Mrs Tan, the boys were not seen downstairs for about two days after we approached the father recently. But later, Mr Lucien said he saw the
twins crying as usual at the void deck.
'It is worse now. I observed that they don't hang around the void decks of these blocks. The maids have to take the boys further, as far as six blocks away,' he said.
Mr Lucien said the Indonesian maid had approached him and asked if he was the one who had called the press. When he asked her why she had asked, she told him: 'Nothing has changed. We still have to come downstairs.'Mr Lucien said the two maids looked tired and sad when they spoke to him.'The maids are hoping for some form of help,' he said. 'Something must be done.'

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Sad right.......the boys very poor thing right???? Feel like slapping the parents........... grrrr................ anyway......... wait for my next post on the PUNK....Good nite......sigh.....the boys have just gone home an hour ago.........

2 CHAIRS & A COUPLE
Just returned from my CW class......... yup, another mind boggling lesson........ this time is personification, imagery, concept maps................... now I not only see stars, I think I see the whole planets system revolving round my head! I must say it really makes you want to learn more cos you suddenly feel that you know so little. Yup, more reading up!

I had dinner with a very adorable young girl today. She is my classmates and I am about 13 years older than her! She likes pink too! Btw, I am not the oldest......I think I am the 3rd youngest. There are 7 of us in the class.......hahahaha! Now back to the subject of my post......... why 2 chairs? I will continue from the dinner with the girl............. we had dinner at Long John Silver. I ordered my food and happily sat down on a chair....not knowing that the seat was not attached to the frame............. fortunately, I did not fall off. This is not the strange part.......... the strangest is when I got to class, I happily sat down on a chair again.....Guess what, THE SEAT WAS ALSO DETACHED!!!!!!! So scary............ 2 spoilt chairs in less than an hour.....weird right?????

Ok now for the couple bit. I was on my way back from class in the MRT (Yes, I take MRT nowasdays.... don't be surprised!) There were 2 couples in front of me. They were about my age. I was facing the backsides of one of the couple. As they were chatting, I noticed the guy's hand touching the gal's butt.....ok that's still ok until he started to "pluck" her panty (couldn't find a better word to describe it la!) throughout the whole ride........ he was just chatting away with his friends as he did that. The gal was enjoying it too........... she is quite slim and nice looking with big eyes but the guy looks extremely nerdy.......... he wore Armani pants......gosh, can you imagine a nerdy guy wearing Armani pants with his shirt all tuck in! Back to the "plucking"........... yes he did that in front of a whole row of commuters and right in my face.......... kill me pls! I just sat there hoping they don't fart in my face while "plucking". To all the couples out there, pls don't "pluck" yr GF or BF's undies in the public ok............ pls be considerate to the person who is staring at your butts..........haha! And I think it's just doesn't look loving or nice at all............ if Tom ever does that, I will surely scream at him...........hee hee!

ok, I just need to download all these.............. I am beginning to enjoy my rides in the MRT........... people are just so interesting!
