SUM YUN LENG SHARON

Gil told me to try this quiz. She felt that her analysis was not quite accurate. So I decided to take the test and see if it's true for me....... to my surprise, it is somewhat accurate!!!!! What do you think???? (Words in pink are mine)

What Sum Yun Leng Sharon Means

You are the total package - suave, sexy, smart, and strong. (this is sooooooo true....lol!)

You have the whole world under your spell, and you can influence almost everyone you know. ( I wish loh....... )

You don't always resist your urges to crush the weak. Just remember, they don't have as much going for them as you do. (Excuse me, I think I am quite kind ...... this is so not true! You better agree or else I will use my big toe to poke yr eyes....keke! )

You are a very lucky person. Things just always seem to go your way. (I am blessed but things doesn't always go my way....... His ways are higher!)

And because you're so lucky, you don't really have a lot of worries. You just hope for the best in life. (I worry abt Jo's eating habit, his sleep, whether I will wake up from my sleep, are there roaches or rats in my hse....etc........ so are these considered worries...... but I do hope for the best! )

You're sometimes a little guilty of being greedy. Spread your luck around a little to people who need it. (Greedy? Depends on what.... I like food but I do share them....... )

You are confident, self assured, and capable. You are not easily intimidated. (Did I mention that I am afraid of anything that is alive and moving with the exception of human beings?)

You master any and all skills easily. You don't have to work hard for what you want. (Till today, I still can't fix a bulb....... Maybe I just don't want to........ I wish I don't have to work hard....)

You make your life out to be exactly how you want it. And you'll knock down anyone who gets in your way! (I have always wanted to marry a rich and old man and own a hse in district 10...... )

You are a free spirit, and you resent anyone who tries to fence you in. (It was for freedom that Christ has set us free!)

You are unpredictable, adventurous, and always a little surprising. (True!)

You may miss out by not settling down, but you're too busy having fun to care. (I am married and I have a 2 year old boy....... .... too busy having fun.... you must be kidding!)

You are very intuitive and wise. You understand the world better than most people. (ok........ this is for you to decide! )

You also have a very active imagination. You often get carried away with your thoughts. ("We can do it if we use our imaginations." BARNEY)

You are prone to a little paranoia and jealousy. You sometimes go overboard in interpreting signals. (I am a self-confessed PARANOID MOM!)

You are relaxed, chill, and very likely to go with the flow. (Depends....)

You are light hearted and accepting. You don't get worked up easily. (Depends on who is irritating me!)

Well adjusted and incredibly happy, many people wonder what your secret to life is. (My secret to life: JESUS, he gives me more than happiness, he gave me joy!)

You are friendly, charming, and warm. You get along with almost everyone.

You work hard not to rock the boat. Your easy going attitude brings people together.

At times, you can be a little flaky and irresponsible. But for the important things, you pull it together. (These 3 descriptions are pretty true!)

You are deeply philosophical and thoughtful. You tend to analyze every aspect of your life.

You are intuitive, brilliant, and quite introverted. You value your time alone. (These 2 seems a little not quite like me!)

Often times, you are grumpy with other people. You don't appreciate them trying to interfere in your affairs. (I am a ctrl freak..... I need to hold on to the remote ctrl when watching TV!

You are truly an original person. You have amazing ideas, and the power to carry them out. (Somewhat true....no choice, I am a S&D teacher!)

Success comes rather easily for you... especially in business and academia. (Must be something I like!)

Some people find you to be selfish and a bit overbearing. You're a strong person. (I know I am strong but I do share!)

You are usually the best at everything ... you strive for perfection. (I wish I am ..........)

You are confident, authoritative, and aggressive.

You have the classic "Type A" personality.

You are wild, crazy, and a huge rebel. You're always up to something. (up to here, it's somewhat true!)

You have a ton of energy, and most people can't handle you. You're very intense. (No, not true..... I am tired most of the time but I hate to lose in an argument....but who does anyway!)

You definitely are a handful, and you're likely to get in trouble. But your kind of trouble is a lot of fun. (Handful????)

You are well rounded, with a complete perspective on life. (Yup, I am quite round..... haha....... got to lighten this up a bit....getting bored!)

You are solid and dependable. You are loyal, and people can count on you. (Of course I am solid..... don't want to be liquid or gas loh....... OMG..... I am becoming like my hb!)

At times, you can be a bit too serious. You tend to put too much pressure on yourself. (Serious..... no one has ever descibe me in this way! )

MY FAVE TOPIC: FOOD GLORIOUS FOOD!!!!!!
Ok, it's not really all about food.....just that I have been surfing thru' food blogs and eating out this 2 weeks. Had dinner at Sakae at Sun Plaza last Friday after watching Ah Wang . This new branch serves Teppanyaki besides their usual fare. I wasn't really hungry that day so took only some sushi and my favourite KAKIAGE........ luv it! Pics are blurry cos took with hp cam.

Started work last Tuesday. I was really tired out! The kids were wild but adorable. I was teaching the whole centre.............. Had like 19 kids in each class............ they were like birds....actually more like animals set free during Speech & Drama lesson. Today was much better cos I was prepared with more appropriate lessons for big classes. As usual, I am exhausted............. but still have the mood to blog! I think I am addicted to blogging.

I have added Food blogs links so do take a look at them if you like eating like me! Back to food.......

Since Jo started to take some rice, I decided to try cooking Chicken Rice for him (He likes Chicken rice, Nasi Lemak & sushi..... only the rice except for sushi!). I was too lazy to prepare from scratch (used to do that many years ago!) so I bought the ready mixed Prima chicken rice paste from NTUC. Also grilled some CP honey wings, Taiwan Sausages and prepared crab sticks salad for ourselves. Yes, everything is pre-cooked, processed and instant! No energy to whip out home-made dishes............... anyway, all this pre-cooked food cuts down lots of time and energy!

Jo hated the rice......... think it tasted too strong for him as compared to those at the hawker centre. But we thought it tasted alright.....just not quite like chicken rice, if you know what I mean! Here are the pics:

We were back at Miss Clarity Cafe on Sunday for dinner. This time, I felt that the food tasted better. I like the Pan-fried dory fish that I ordered. Had the Mushroom & potato fricassee again.....still as yummy as before but think we over ordered.

Tom's Fish & Chips

My Pan-fried Spicy Dory

Miss Clarity also serves special ordered meals for 2 and you can even bring yr own recipes! Will try the special menu with foie gras and caviar one of these days........get the hint dear :)

My "Big aunty" visited me a week earlier this month and was making me giddy all the time....... Btw, I am anemic...... I know I don't look like one! I get fainting spells whenever she comes! Will stop blogging now before my brain popped out of my skull..... not exaggerating.......this is exactly how I am feeling now! Here's a funny comic strip about the lives of these Disney Princesses....... you thought they have it easy........... hahaha!

Yup, you guess it .... A PIG! So cute and innovative right?

Only short of a tail to complete this work of art!

Want to know why my week was so lack of spice............ I've been reading or rather singing to this book at least 5 times a day. This is currently Joash's favourite book. Not only do I need to sing, I have to play the DVD too! And Christmas isn't anywhere near! But for the sake of my darling boy, I just have to fake a smile and sing......... yes, I am a hypocrite............ wait till you're in my position......... no I am not complaining, I am just bored! The good thing is that my prince can sing some parts of this super long-winded song from all the repetitions......... indeed, REPETITION IS THE MOTHER OF RETENTION! No wonder mothers are naggers............they are trained to be one since the day their baby is born.....hahahaha........... I am really bad at lame jokes.............. gosh, I am becoming like my hb!

Did I mention that I hate bugs?

I simply love these cheeky pics of Joash. He wanted to drink the ice milo that we bought so I made him smile for me. So cute!!!!!

We went shopping at some warehouse sale that promises VS lingerie, branded clothes with discount up to 90%! But when we arrived, all we could see were mountains of ugly undies and clothes........ Gil & I were really disappointed......left after 10 mins! Then we headed down to Charles & Keith warehouse sale (told you I am a shopping queen!) and was another wasted trip. We ended up buying ice-cream outside the warehouse! Sent Gil to tuition and met up with her after her class................. she is really part of our family.............. don't see her for a week seem like something is missing! We went Causeway Point and bought Jo an Elmo VCD. Gil also insisted on getting him one. What a blessed boy to have such a doting Godma!

We attended service on Saturday at Trinity. Esther was also with us. An encouraging sermon on "Walk". We were challenged to live a life worthy of God's call and to preach our walk.......... live out what we preach! After service, we popped over to Bugis for dinner at Ajisen.

It's been some time since I blog about food. So here's a cheap place to go when you're broke but want to eat till your pants burst................. HOTPOT CULTURE AT MARINA SQ. Pics below:

I would say the food is good enough for me judging by the price we paid. I love the curry chicken. For just less than $10 bucks, we get chicken, fish, duck............... etc. Just one thing, you've got to bring your own water cos they served only green bean soup. We had drinks at McDonald's after lunch. The service was ok and the place is clean, cool and comfy. Will be back again!

Before I end, let me show you the new "love" of my life...................

Hello Joe Cheng..... Good bye Wu Xun!
Isn't he super good looking! Been catching his latest drama series "They kissed again 2" at Youtube and was captivated by his charming smile! Can't wait for tomorrow to see him again....hee....... it's sweet dreams for me tonight!

FIRST SHOPPING TRIP & A LESSON TO LEARN
Yes, I had my first shopping trip (ever since my ankle broke!) yesterday afternoon. No, it's wasn't shopping for my stuff but nevertheless, I enjoyed it. We were at the Popular Sale (expo). We bought lots of books for our little bookworm. See his new collection...........

His books and other stuff

plus my stuff cost about $58 only!

CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP!

I walk for about 1 1/2 hrs and ankle was aching terribly. But thankfully, all that walking helps my ankle to loosen up a little. I think I can run in a few weeks time.......yeah! I am looking forward to my REAL shopping spree!

Here are some pics of my little darling and I lazing around...... pardon me for looking like some "Huang Lian Po" ............hee hee.....................

Here's a funny video for you to enjoy.............. have a good laugh but don't forget to practice the important lesson found in this video! And NO, it's not an RA video..........

A LOADFUL OF UPDATES AND THOTS
It's been weeks since I blog so I will be blabbering a lot here.............. yes........ a loadful of updates and thots......... hmm........... let's start with ............. MY PRECIOUS LITTLE BOY !
I have been spending a lot of time with him doing "special things" (that's what I tell him every time we do something together!). We painted, sculpted, fixed, coloured, drew and read countless books. Yup, I am raising a Picasso..... haha......... don't believe? See the pics below and his blog.

His first abstract paintings....keke!

Tom & I were impressed with what this 2 year old boy could do and say. We discovered that he likes to read................ A LOT! He is always digging into the shelves for books and bringing them to us to read to him. Sometimes, we got tired of repeating the same stories but he has his way of getting us to read them! Think will order more books for him online cos I need a change.... hahaha!

His new fave VCD is "Bananas in Pyjamas" and we only have one (given by Tom's SIL) and no where else is selling it. Heard it is banned for being "noneducational"........ honestly, this show is really stupid....... 2 bananas & 3 teddies doing silly things. We always try to get him to watch other shows but sometimes we give in and let him watch his "Xiang Jiao viva" (only those who had seen the show will know what this is!).

Joash is still as fussy with food and has stopped eating porridge. He likes pasta and noodles. I have given up getting angry with his pickiness.......... if he doesn't like the food and pushes it away, I will throw them all away. Hope he will put on more weight too!

I can fully understand and sympathise with those who lost their limbs......(sorry for being so random cos I just type whatever that comes to my mind) With my temporary broken ankle, I can't walk fast, carry Joash, clean the house..........etc and that makes me very grumpy! Right now, I am off crutches and cast.......... still in ankle guard and learning to walk properly............ I am beginning to appreciate the ability to move about freely!

We celebrated Gil's birthday last Saturday. Jo drew a pic for him on the bd card (see his blog for more). Bought Zi cha for dinner and gave her a "xin yao" cd. See slide and video below.

Cake Cutting Ceremony

I have been watching lots of movies at home........ 27 dresses, water horse, step up 2, meet the spartan, Juno........ etc! I need entertainment, most importantly, I need to SHOP big time...... I miss the mall, the clothes, the people, the smell...................... that brings me to the next topic.

We visited CEFC on Sunday and Ps. Edmund preached a simple and inspiring message. These are what I remembered -

1) Smell - He & I shared the same fave smell, the smell of a "fresh" baby....... he asked if we emit the fragrance of Jesus when we served Him. We can go about serving and not emitting Jesus' fragrance. Do we have the Fruit of the Spirit in our lives? It's about the being and not the doing!

2) We need 2 wings to fulfil our God-given destiny: A sense of Destiny and a sense Desperation. Destiny - boldness, Desperation - humility.

3) Is Christ sufficient for you? When everything is gone, can you say "Jesus is enough for me." ? Reminded me of a song that I used to sing in HWMC long time ago........

Jehovah Jireh, my Provider
You are more than enough for me
Jehovah Rophe, you're my Healer
By Your stripes, I've been set free
Jehovah Shammah, you are with me
To supply all my needs
You are more than enough
Oh, you are more than enough,
You are more than enough for me.

Good reminder for all of us. I like the place but not the nursery. Maybe it's too small for so many kids and adults. Still like the nursery at Trinity best - big & clean! We'll be at Trinity this Saturday again.

Being at home, made me crave for good food............. I want to eat......

1) Dim Sum at Dragon Gate restaurant. Had a dissatisfied meal at Swee Chin and that made me crave for nice dim sum............ I need to feel satisfied with my food......haha............

2) Japanese food at Kuishin-bo......... I want to sink my teeth into cold snow crabs, crispy tempura, fresh raw salmon.................... feed me pls!

3) Grilled chicken chop at Vines........... I like the baked potatoes.....and the sour cream....and the bacon....... and the sauce.......

4) Steamboat & BBQ at Yuki Yaki....... the balls are yummy.......keke.......

5) Cheap Thai food at Bei sheng but I also want green curry which they don't served.......... Siam Kitchen for their Green curry.............

This talk about food is making me hungry. I am going to take a break for a snack now. Tata!
