HELLO BLOG, LONG TIME NO SEE! Been some time since I blog cos busy with my new role as a "Baby Whisperer" ...... keke...... my SIL had a baby last month and I had been going to her place to help out. Baby Ryan is such a sweet and lovely baby.... much easier then my little Prince when he was a new born. But my BIL & SIL being first time parents after 15 years of marriage were anxious, surprised, freak-out, mentally worn out and exhausted from all the attention that their little baby demanded from them. My poor SIL couldn't have a proper confinement cos her CL was not doing her job well. They sent her back before her contract ended. So right now, they are taking care of the baby themselves.
My SIL looked really tired from lack of sleep and healthy diet. I kept telling her that better days will come. She reminded me of myself ...... we are almost equally paranoid (I think she is much more!) and jittery towards our new role as mom. MOMMIES ARE THE MOST SACRIFICIAL....... sorry dads, we moms seriously think that we gave up lots more stuff for our kids than you do........ from BM to holding our bowels and waking up at the slightest noise (Admit it guys, once you are in lala land, you remain in there for a long time until someone gives you a kick on the butt.... haha!). All this talking about mothers reminded me that Mother's day is round the corner.......... hmm.......... wonder what will my son and his dad get for me?????? Here are some pics of my dear nephew:
I've been on a FOOD HUNT for the past 2 weeks..... first stop, Dragon Gate Restaurant at Harbour Front. Gil & Von were with us. Been there twice for their dim sum buffet and looking still forward to my next trip. Love their Dim Sum, especially their Century Egg porridge. It was so good that Von ate almost 3 bowls of it! The pork ribs were yummy too....... Dim Sum is just so Sharon Sum....... keke....... ok these are some blurry evidences of the dim sum buffet ....... will take nicer pics on my next round there.
Second stop : HOAGIES CAFE at Khatib ....... pics taken with mobile so very blurry again! Heard about this cafe long time ago but did not have a chance to try out their food. The chance came when we decided to dine somewhere near to our place....... and was reminded of this cosy cafe at Khatib. I like the ambience and the decor...... food were pretty good but the portion were small...... the guys may have to order 2 main courses to fill up if they are really hungry.

My Ham & Cheese Rosti - I think Marche's better cos they don't provide sour cream!
Tom's flamed grilled chicken - their signature dish (yummy but portion too small for him!)

My banana smoothie
We will be back to try the rest of the items on the menu!
3rd stop: SAKAE JAPANESE RESTAURANT. I've dine at this sushi place several times and this is the only time, I get to take nice and clear pictures...... finally remembered to bring my cam! I think their chawanmushi is very good! Joash likes it very much and so do all of us! Oiishi........
Final stop : TOMSUMJO's PLACE. We whipped up some home-cooked food and invited our young friends over for dinner. Gil also fried her famous pan cake look-alike "Cai Pu" omelette........... hmmmmm..........delicious! See pics for our mini feast.
